Own-age biases in face viewing and repetition: an fMRI study

Description: These are the statistical maps (spmT maps) from contrasts on project examining own-age biases between novel and repeated upright faces. The ANOVA design in SPM12 was a 2 (age group) by 8 (condition). The condition factor was formed by crossing the age congruency of a face stimulus (own age versus other age) with the four different item types (first presentation, lag 0 repeat, lag 11 repeat, inverted face). Note that, for young adults, own age faces were stimuli depicting young adults and other age faces were stimuli depicting older adults. This was reversed for older adults. Given this coding scheme, effects of face age congruency reflect a participant age by face age interaction.
