Frontoparietal 18F-FDG-PET hypo-metabolism in Lennox-Gastaut syndrome: further evidence highlighting the key network

Description: Results of group-level analysis comparing interictal 18FDG-PET in 21 patients with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) to 18 age- and sex-matched pseudo-control participants with unilateral temporal lobe epilepsy, showing areas of significant hypometabolism in the LGS group. Results are displayed as t-scores thresholded at p<0.05 (corrected for family-wise error following threshold-free cluster-enhancement; voxel-wise non-parametric permutation-based analysis performed using Permutation Analysis of Linear Models (PALM) software version alpha117, part of FSL software: https://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslwiki/PALM). Analysis was performed in Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI)-152 6th-generation symmetric brain template space (2mm isotropic voxel resolution). Note that this analysis was performed in a unilateral analysis space, including only structurally ‘normal’ brain hemispheres (see Methods in manuscript for further details); hence results are shown for one brain side only.
