The Right Dorsal Premotor Mosaic: Organization, Functions, and Connectivity

Description: We identified five subregions within the right dorsal premotor cortex by using connectivity-based parcellation. We functionally characterized them in terms of functional connectivity and associated behavioral functions. This highlighted a cognitivo-motor gradient along the three subregions on the rostro-caudal axis: rostral, central and caudal. Furthermore, we identified a ventral subregion showing premotor eye-field functions and a dorsal one preferentially related to finder/hand movements.
