Dynamic involvement of premotor and supplementary motor areas in bimanual pinch control

Description: functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) while healthy volunteers ( n= 25) performed a visually guided, bimanual pinch force task. Data set contains functional activity maps contrasting bimanual pinch force in different task contexts (1. mirror-symmetric bimanual 2. inverse-asymmetric bimanual 3. Pseudo-unimanual left ( e.g. only left hand adjusts force while right keeps steady isometric contraction) 4. Pseudo-unimanual right. Pinch force diring the entire experiment is between 2.5-7.5 % of Maximal volountary contraction
