When compliments do not hit but critiques do: an fMRI study into self-esteem and self-knowledge in processing social feedback

Description: This dataset contains data on a task in which participants receive positive, intermediate and negative feedback supposedly of someone else. These data were collected during the research project titled: “Social Feedback and Emotion Regulation in Borderline Personality Disorder: An fMRI study”. The goal of this substudy was to investigate how feedback valence, consistency of feedback with self-knowledge and global self-esteem influence affective and neural responses to social feedback.
