Individual semantics in the human brain

Description: 16 subjects were requested to list words best describing what had come to their minds during each 3–5 sec segment of an eight-minute narrative that they listened during fMRI. Similarities in individual semantics, estimated using latent-semantic analysis (LSA), predicted similarities in brain hemodynamic activity bilaterally in the mid-portion of middle temporal gyri and sulci.
