Description: Unthresholded t-statistic maps of the linear effect of time discounting on PET dopamine D2-like receptor availability from three samples of healthy adults. Samples 1 (N=25, ages 18-24) and 2 (N=83, ages 22-81) were imaged at Vanderbilt University on a GE Discovery STE PET camera with the tracer [18F]fallypride. Sample 3 (N=34, ages 26-79) was imaged at Yale University on a Siemens HRRT PET camera with the tracer [11C] FLB 457. Linear regressions controlled for age and sex as covariates of no interest. Time discounting effects are presented for the simple proportion of smaller-sooner options (chosesnr) and computationally-derived hyperbolic discounting k-values (time_ln_k+1).
