Collection: Striatal BOLD and midfrontal theta power express motivation for action
Description: Contrast left hand Go responses (+1) with right hand Go responses (-1). NoGo responses count as 0. Contrasted at the time people see the cues and respond (deadline 1.3 seconds). Too late responses are registered as NoGo responses. Motivational Go/NoGo task (Swart et al., 2017; 2018; van Nuland et al., 2020). Note that this Go/NoGo task is equiprobable (percent Go/NoGo trials is 50:50) and thus does NOT elicit strong inhibition-related activation.
