Collection: Does Losing Money Really Hurt? Shared Neural Circuits Between Monetary Loss and Pain

Description: We searched relevant papers in Google Scholar on 27 December 2019 and supplemented the included literature by searching papers in Pudmed on 16 November 2021. For social pain, we used the terms fMRI AND pain AND ("social pain" OR "social rejection" OR "social exclusion" OR "social ostracism") and identified 8103 studies. The final social pain dataset comprises 1201 participants and 32 studies containing 34 experiments and 376 foci. We conducted a SDM meta-analysis to find out the consistently activated brain regions related to social pain. This map was the thresholded SDM z map corresponding to social pain. Voxels with uncorrected p values < .001, z values > 1 and located in clusters with more than 100 voxels were considered significant.

Warning: This map seems to be thresholded, sparse or acquired with limited field of view (98.27% of voxels are zeros). Some of the NeuroVault functions such as decoding might not work properly. Please use unthresholded maps whenever possible.
