Resting state functional connectivity and empathy in children

Description: One hundred and twelve children (52% female, mean age 10 years) underwent magnetic resonance imaging brain scans including a resting-state sequence and completed empathy self-report measures. Measures: Adolescent Measure of Empathy and Sympathy (AMES; Vossen et al., 2015) and empathic distress scale of the Empathic Responsiveness Questionnaire (ERQ: Olweus & Endresen, 1998). Seed-based and dual-regression analyses were conducted.
